Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using StoryBond (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

2. The Service

StoryBond is an AI-powered platform that lets families create personalised stories for children, with audio narration, illustrated story panels, and physical keepsakes. The Service is available via web browser and as a mobile app on Android and iOS.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Children's profiles may only be created by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Accounts are for personal, family use only — not commercial resale.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Free plan: 3 new stories per month at no cost; full Story Hub subject to fair use and rate limits.
  • Basic (₹299/month or ₹2,990/year): 10 new stories per month — a higher monthly generation quota than Free. The same Story Hub experience applies; listen, translation, and illustrated panels remain subject to fair use.
  • Premium (₹599/month or ₹5,990/year): Up to 60 new stories per rolling 30-day period, a monthly AI usage budget, and keepsake discounts when offered at checkout. Other features remain subject to fair use and usage limits.
  • Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We accept cards, UPI, and net banking.
  • Cancellation: Email hello@storybond.in with “Cancel” in the subject. We will cancel your subscription within one working day. Access continues until the end of your paid period — no partial refunds are issued for unused days.
  • Refunds: If a technical fault on our side prevents you from using a paid feature, contact us within 7 days and we will make it right.
  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • Stories, illustrations, audio, and per-page illustrated panels are generated by AI (OpenAI, Google Gemini, ElevenLabs, Sarvam AI) and may occasionally be imperfect, repetitive, or unexpected.
  • All generated content passes through automated safety filters (jailbreak detection, child-safety blocklist, OpenAI content moderation). You must not attempt to circumvent these filters.
  • You own the stories created in your account for personal use. You may print, share with family, and purchase physical keepsakes. You may not resell AI-generated content or use it commercially.
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit prompts designed to bypass safety filters or generate harmful content.
  • Use the Service to create content that is violent, sexual, hateful, or harmful to minors.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's APIs.
  • Share your account credentials or allow multiple people to use a single account.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

7. Physical Keepsakes

  • Physical products (printed books, merchandise) are fulfilled by third-party printing partners.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary. We are not liable for courier delays.
  • If a product arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us at hello@storybond.in within 7 days with a photo and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

8. Intellectual Property

The StoryBond name, logo, and platform design are our intellectual property. The AI models, voices, and illustration styles are owned by their respective providers. Your child's name, photo, and the specific story created for them belong to you for personal use.

9. Availability & Changes

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where possible.
  • We may change features, pricing, or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 14 days in advance.
  • We may discontinue the Service with 60 days' notice, during which you may export your stories.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, StoryBond is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting hello@storybond.in. Unresolved disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
