Why we built StoryBond

Founder's story

Illustration of founder Binu Chacko with his granddaughter, reading together.
I wanted my granddaughter, Shiloh, to see herself as the hero — with the people who love her in the adventure, and every word in the language we speak at home. StoryBond grew from that promise.

Binu Chacko, Founder

A grandfather's idea that became every family's story.

We get it.Parenting in the screen age is hard.

StoryBond was built to solve five real problems families face every day.

Screen time without purpose

Most kids are passive viewers — consuming, not thinking. We turn that screen into a tool for active learning.

Values that don't stick

It's hard to find stories that teach kindness or courage in a way children remember. We build those lessons right into the plot.

Kids who don't see themselves

In a world of global cartoons, children rarely see themselves as the hero. We put your child at the centre of the adventure.

Grandparents far away

Parents are busy, grandparents are in another city. We create a reason for the whole family to feel together, even from far away.

Stories only in English

Many families speak a native language at home, but most apps are English-only. We support 14 languages so the story feels like home.

14 lessons, three themes

You pick one lesson for each story: kindness, courage, honesty, and more. Your child learns it by going on the adventure, not by sitting through a talk.
